A Healing Place by Joyce Shaughnessy

A Healing Place tells an enduring story of love, sacrifice, and  courage through the fictional exploits of a family - the Millers.   Amos, Molly, and their three daughters live through the trials and hardships of the Dust Bowl of the Great Depression and World War II.

They manage to find a place where, through their love for each other, and their faith in the power of prayer, they overcome any challenge and strive to be a stronger family. During World War II, the Millers deal with the horrible sacrifices and inspiring courage of the men and women in uniform when their son-in-law, Jed, is caught in the brutal Bataan Death March in the Philippines. How they strive to survive and keep moving forward will engage readers until the very end.
