Amber Waves of Grain by Stafford O. Chenevert

The summer of 1960 becomes a turning point in the life of a 19 year Airman, nicknamed, Yogi, by his friends. The vast openness of the Texas Panhandle offers the first challenge he has to over come as his senses struggle to adapt to this alien land while his spirit craves the beautiful massive live oaks and peaceful bayous of his native Louisiana. Drawn into the secret and troubled world of a beautiful student nurse from St. Anthony's Hospital, Yogi faces challenges greater than the blowing wind and bleak winters of the Panhandle.

To the viewers:

This trailer is great, but not as great as the novel. Amber Waves of Grain is a fiction romance about a Louisiana boy who joins the Air Force during the early 60's and is sent to Amarillo AFB near Amarillo, Texas.

After falling in love with a beautiful red head student nurse, he discovers she has some emotional problems which draggs him into her secret live.

Part of the story takes place on the Air Base and part takes place on a wheat farm belonging to the girl's father.

It an emotional story and one which deserves reading. You can order a signed copy from me by going to my e-mail address and requesting paperback for $20.00 or a hardback for $30.00.

I promise you will love this story.

Thanks, Stafford Chenevert
