Gort by Gary W. Roberto

Gort is a new science fiction work that follows an alien robot programmed with a mission to destroy the Earth.

Dr. Robert Benson was nine years old when he first encountered the very thing responsible for the future devastation and destruction of Earth. Many strange theories have been narrated concerning those events, but only a few knew the true story of what happened, and more importantly, of why it happened. Author Gary W. Roberto weaves a chilling tale of deception, corruption, arrogance, destruction and redemption in this masterful work of science fiction.

The story begins with the sudden and unexpected appearance of an unidentified flying object entering the solar system at the speed of light. The object is soon identified as a saucer-style spaceship. As events unfold, it becomes appallingly clear the spaceship has returned to Earth with a specific intent: to stop the governments of Earth from extending their violence into outer space.

Dr. Benson’s previous experience with the robot now qualifies him as the foremost authority concerning the robot. He now finds himself with an unenviable task: stop Gort from carrying out his programming to destroy all nuclear related facilities on Earth.

Can Gort be stopped? Can Earth and mankind be saved? Readers will enjoy the journey as the story’s surprising end unfolds.
