Champions of the Garden Games: Winter Fun For Everyone by M. Van Lemon

Meet Marvin van Lemon; he is happy to say, "The Garden Games are finally starting, hooray!" Marvin, the commentator for the Garden Games just happens to be a lemon.  As Marvin makes his way through the garden he comes across world class athletes who also happen to be fruit or vegetables. For example "Garret the Carrot is fast on a luge", while "Sherry the Cherry" figure skates, and "Helen the Melon" is tops at the biathlon.

"The Garden Games" is a unique and fantastically fun way for kids ages 3-8 to learn about the different kinds of fruit and vegetables, the winter games and above all, discover how much fun these sports can be.

Through the use of rhyme, Marvin shows the readers it can be fun to read, play sports, set high goals, and work hard to achieve their goals.  It also shows how children with disabilities should not let others "have all the fun" as they can participate in special events aswell.

So join Marvin and his nutritious friends as they begin their journey to educate children on the importance of being active, reaching for the stars, and the magic of "The Garden Games."
